“Missing in Brooks County,” a documentary film about missing migrants near the Texas-Mexico border, will screen in multiple Texas locations this month, according to BorderReport.com. The film is directed by documentarians Lisa Molomot and Jeff Bemiss and featured as part of PBS’ “Independent Lens” series.

The film tells the story of the dangerous, often deadly journey migrants take from the southern U.S. border through the desert area to avoid the checkpoint in Brooks County. In this documentary, two families search for relatives who went missing in the desert surrounding the checkpoint after crossing from Mexico.
