Untitled Paramount⁺ Series (Television)
Legacy Casting is looking for genuine military and ex-military, ages 18-45, as well as genuine first responders.
- Genuine military and veterans (background & stand-ins, 18-45)
- First responders —police, firefighters, nurses, doctors, surgeons, etc. (background & stand-ins, all ages)
This will be for a large-scale Paramount⁺ military-themed show filming in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The production will begin this month and offer rates that will range from $92/8 hours to $200/12 hours, depending on the role. Legacy Casting encourages those interested to email them at extra@legacycasting.com with two recent photos (full body and headshot) and a description of relevant experience. Legacy Casting is also looking for young families and couples for a local Houston commercial filming May 16 and 17. They are offering a rate of $200 per family member and ask for applicants to submit through mycastingfile.com.
ASL Stock Shoot (Photo)
For actors subscribed to Actors Access, Getty Images is looking for ASL speakers for a stock photo shoot in Houston.
- ASL Speakers (image models, 18-81)
Getty asks that models be non-Union and fluent in ASL. Those with cochlear implants are considered a plus. The shoot will take place on May 16 for a BBQ scene, May 17 for an addiction/recovery scene and May 20 for a rooftop bar scene. The deadline for submissions is May 14. For actors wondering where a stock shoot can take you, keep in mind the career of Simu Liu.
The Vigil (Short Film)
Another Actors Access offering, “The Vigil” is a Dallas-based student short film looking for two lead actors.
- Benjamin (lead, 24-45)
- Jane (lead, 24-45)
This film will focus on Benjamin and Jane’s fresh start in a new community, which leads to sinister happenings in their dream home. Submissions should include demo clips of the actor’s work. The roles will not provide pay but will provide a copy of the film, credit and meals. The film will shoot beginning June 4.
Untitled Spacefire Films horror short (Short Film)
Spacefire Films is looking for two lead actors for an untitled short horror film.
- Protagonist (lead, female, 22-32)
- Antagonist (lead, male, 35-55, caucasian, 5’ 11’)
The female lead is described as “cute girl next door, edgy, honest to a fault.” This role will include some stunt work and potentially improvisational skills. The antagonist will be a predatory southern, smooth-talking Satanist. This actor should prepare for some stunts and fight choreography. Both roles offer $160 per day, with two days of filming in Austin on dates yet to be determined. The submission deadline is June 1 through untitledhorrorshortproject@gmail.com.
